What I Want You to Know:
This project really forces you to acknowledge your own stereotypes, even if you won't admit them to yourself!
Why I think it's important to challenge HIV/AIDS stereotypes:
There are still so many misconceptions about the typical person with HIV — and it's so easy to assume that it can't happen to you.
How HIV/AIDS has affected my life:
When I was in high school, our teacher had HIV and publicly acknowledged it. The issue initially caused a lot of controversy among students, teachers, and parents, but the overall support in the community for him really showed me how people’s perceptions can change with education.
How I contribute to the fight against HIV:
From working in the pharmaceutical industry, I am constantly interacting with teams that develop life-saving therapies to treat the disease, sometimes developing ads that improve awareness of these drugs.
